My approach
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) offering psychotherapy grounded in contemporary neuroscience, including the science of emotional memory and memory reconsolidation. My approach blends relational, somatic and experiential approaches, supporting adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the impacts of chronic stress and systemic oppression.
I understand “symptoms” or difficult patterns not as pathology, but as meaningful and adaptive responses shaped by past experiences and relational contexts. Together, we work to discover the emotional logic underlying patterns that feel distressing, confusing, or stuck. When these underlying learnings are brought into awareness in a safe and embodied way, they can be updated, allowing for deep and lasting transformational change.
Clients can expect a collaborative, non‑pathologizing, neuro-affirmative counselling process that honours the resilience of the mind‑body system. I invite curiosity, compassion, and respect for all parts of your experience, while working at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable. When working with me, you’ll notice I bring my genuine self into our working relationship: my warmth, humour, care, and strong emphasis on agency and consent.
I am committed to culturally responsive and anti‑oppressive counselling. My work is informed by an understanding of how trauma, marginalization, and systemic inequities shape our nervous systems, relationships, and sense of self. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel supported, challenged in humble and respectful ways, and empowered.
Psychotherapy can be a space for meaningful self‑understanding, emotional transformation, and increased agency. The process may feel vulnerable, exciting, challenging, and empowering at different times. I will meet you where you are and support you in developing a more connected relationship with yourself and your communities.
